    A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation and bitter weeping — Rachel weeping for her children, refusing to be comforted because they are no more.

    I was watching in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and was given dominion and glory and a kingdom.

    Jesus repeatedly applies Daniel's vision to himself; the New Testament looks forward to its consummation at his return.

    Inaugurated at the ascension (Acts 1:9, Daniel 7:13's coming is to the Ancient of Days, not down to earth) but consummated at the parousia.

    King comes riding on a donkey

    Jesus entered Jerusalem on a colt at Passover; the disciples remembered these things had been written of him.

    Money used to buy the potter's field

    Jesus said of John the Baptist: All the prophets and the law prophesied until John. And if you are willing to receive it, he is Elijah who is to come.
