Description
Greeted by Paul together with Andronicus as 'kinsmen and fellow prisoners, who are notable among the apostles' (Romans 16:7). The traditional reading is that Andronicus and Junia are husband and wife and 'apostles' in a broader sense as eyewitnesses sent out from the Jerusalem church.
