Description
Son of Ahab, brother of Ahaziah; king of Israel 852–841 BC. Removed the pillar of Baal but persisted in Jeroboam's sins. Allied with Jehoshaphat against Moab. Killed by Jehu in his chariot at Jezreel. Distinct from Jehoram of Judah, his contemporary.
