Description

Leader of the Rechabites in Jeremiah's day; refused to drink the wine offered by Jeremiah, and so the obedience of his clan was held up as a rebuke to Judah. Distinct from Jaazaniah son of Shaphan and Jaazaniah son of Azzur.
