Hadad the Edomite

Description

Edomite of the royal house who, as a child, escaped Joab's slaughter of Edom under David and fled to Egypt; Pharaoh gave him the sister of Tahpenes to wife and treated him favorably; on hearing of David's and Joab's deaths he returned and became an adversary to Solomon (1 Kings 11:14-22).
