Description
Twelfth and youngest son of Jacob, second-born of Rachel who died bearing him near Bethlehem. Originally named Ben-oni ('son of my sorrow') by Rachel, renamed Benjamin ('son of the right hand') by Jacob. Founder of the tribe of Benjamin (later including Saul and Paul).
