Alphaeus (father of James)

Description

Father of James the apostle (called 'James the Less' or 'James son of Alphaeus'). Some traditions identify him with Clopas husband of one of the Marys, making James and Joses brothers and cousins of Jesus, but this is not asserted in scripture.
